Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Workshops

At Queer Spaces, we deliver EDI workshops that centre creativity, relational practice, and lived experience. Our approach supports universities and organisations to build environments where people feel safe, affirmed, and able to express the full complexity of who they are.

We believe that EDI is not a tick-box exercise, it is an embodied, relational, and cultural practice. Our workshops create spaces where participants can explore identity, belonging and inclusion with honesty, imagination and depth.

What Our EDI Workshops Offer

1. Queer-Positive, Anti-Oppressive Practice

Our work is grounded in queer-positive, kink-affirming and non-judgmental principles. We create brave, respectful spaces for participants to reflect on bias, power, privilege and allyship in a way that feels human-centred, curious and compassionate.

2. Creativity as a Tool for Learning

We use storytelling, metaphor, creative prompts, embodied reflection and narrative techniques to deepen understanding and support lasting change. Creativity helps people explore identity and inclusion beyond theory — allowing new insights to emerge.

3. Relational & Embodied Understanding

Our workshops invite participants to notice the body, emotions, rhythms, pauses and the "unsaid". This allows for a more authentic connection with inclusion work — supporting participants to engage with EDI not just intellectually but relationally and physically.

4. Intersectional, Lived-Experience Led Learning

Queer Spaces is founded on the belief that intersectionality is essential. We bring lived experience from LGBTQIA+ communities and marginalised identities into the work, offering an insight that supports more meaningful, inclusive organisational culture.
