Queer Love Letters Workshops

Why Queer Love Letters?

For many of us, our stories have been shaped by silence — the things we couldn’t say, the ways we learned to hide, the identities we had to fight to claim. Queer Love Letters was born from a desire to reclaim those stories. Our sessions use creativity as both a mirror and a tool for transformation, expressing and celebrating queer narratives to write ourselves back into the world exactly as we are.

We draw on practices from psychotherapy, creative writing, visual art, and movement to help you connect with your authentic inner voice. There’s no pressure to share if you don’t want to — your process is yours to hold. But when you do feel ready, the room offers a community that listens without judgement, where your truth is met with respect, curiosity, and care.

What Can I Expect?

Each session is slightly different but generally we start by grounding together through breath-work, meditation, or gentle movement, creating a sense of safety and presence. From there, we move into creative prompts and exercises designed to connect with and ignite your imagination, to connect to your memory and story.

Throughout, we hold space for reflection, discussion, and connection. Every exercise can be adapted to suit your comfort level — there’s no “right” way to take part. Some people create intricate, layered pieces; others scribble fragments or images. Both are celebrated equally.

By the end of each workshop, you’ll leave with something tangible you’ve created — a letter, a drawing, a poem, or a mix of them all — and, more importantly, a deeper connection to your own voice and the queer community around you.

Thank you for visiting us!

These workshops are a gentle meeting point between creativity and care and they are the beating heart of our work together. Through meditation, movement, writing, and art, we explore the stories we carry, the ones we’ve hidden, and the ones we’ve yet to tell. You don’t need to be a writer or an artist — just curious about what happens when you give yourself permission to express freely.

We have a unique set of skills as professional artists and psychotherapists, and are passionate about providing:

  • A safe, held space to explore identity and belonging

  • Creative prompts to spark imagination and self-discovery

  • Practices that connect mind, body, and heart

  • The chance to witness and be witnessed by a supportive community

Whether you come with a letter you’ve been aching to write, or simply a feeling you can’t yet name, Queer Love Letters is a place to bring it. Together, we make space for the messy, the beautiful, the joyful, and the complicated.
